your logic seriously needs refining. The wii's demographic is anything but online community. Now I'm sure it'll be fine and functional but how many people are gonna have a Wii and online.
The nintendo consoles are going to be bought by nostalgic old school consumers and kids. Those are what games the Wii delivers and those are it's customers. Alot of people on this site are nostalgic fans and will buy one, just that simple.

Look guys, a "gamer" DOESN'T NEED to purchase all three systems. MOST people can only afford one, and normal people only buy 200 dollar consoles.

How about that the zune matched the Ipod 30gb video at 250 bucks. But has a lot more features and flexibility. Along with live anywhere in due time.
